Zero Escape: Volume 2 - Virtue's Last Reward
On Christmas day 2028, college student Sigma is abducted from his car by a masked man. He wakes up in a warehouse with 8 other people to discover he is part of a Nonary Game (Ambidex Edition). With no other options, Sigma and his companions must play this game as their only way of opening the door to escape while they deal with the mystery of which one of them is Zero, the mastermind of their predicament.
Virtue's Last Reward is the sequel to Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, a visual novel with puzzle solving elements. Sigma is part of a group of three abductees (a pair and a solo) who must enter one of the rooms in the warehouse, interact with objects in said rooms to find the correct combination to open the lock on a safe containing the key cards to open the Ambidex rooms. Inside these rooms, the solo and pair who entered each room are separated and must vote to either 'Ally' or 'Betray' the opposite party in a Prisoner's Dilemma minigame. The results will add or subtract points from each person's bracelet. When a person's bracelet points reach 0, the bracelet injects them with drugs to kill them, but when they reach 9 bracelet points, they can, at any time they choose, open the Number 9 Door and escape.
There are 24 alternate endings possible. When the player reaches an ending, the can start the game again from their current save and their data from the previous game will be carried over.
