Unlike the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, this edition has only two games in the series and not Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - HD Edition. It contains two HD-updated ports from the Metal Gear Solid franchise:
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - HD Edition
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - HD Edition
The PS3 version is limited to Japan through a PSN download and a retail release. Next to the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake that were bundled with Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, the PS3 retail release contains a product code to download the PS3 version of the 1998 PlayStation version of Metal Gear Solid. The PS Vita version is available worldwide, but for that platform the three-game compilation Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is not available. The Xbox 360 version is available worldwide but only as a Games on demand download release, and in Japan also as a retail release.

What condition are your games?
All products are inspected, tested and cleaned before being sold. Any disc with scratching is professionally resurfaced. Every disc we sell is fully operational and free of scratches. Discs that cannot be repaired are not sold on our website. All discs and cases are free from stickers and residue. We seal all game cases and manuals for added protection.
How are your games shipped?
All games are bubble wrapped and protected before being shipped out. For PS1 games, we also have a piece of bubble wrap inside of the case to make sure the discs do not move inside the case.
What happens if my products don't work when they arrive?
All products are inspected, tested and cleaned before being sold. Any disc with scratching is professionally resurfaced.
