IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey
IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is the 4th entry into the well known WWII flight simulation game series.
In this version, you will take part in a total of 5 theatres from WWII- the battle of Britain, Stalingrad, Berlin, Sicily and Korsun, totaling over 50 missions. New to the series is the ability to choose between the simulation handling like previous games, and arcade handling, which is new for the series. As the game is predominantly a simulator, it features realistic damage models including engine damage and bullet holes on the hull of your aircraft.
Multiplayer includes 4 game modes, which include Dogfight (basic death matches), Team Battle (team death matches), Capture (akin to capture the flag, in this, you have to land on an airstrip and hold it for long enough. The enemy must take you out and capture it themselves) and Strike (team game, you must destroy the enemy base before they destroy yours).
Planes featured in game include the IL-2, IL-4, Hurricane Mk II, the Spitfire Mk II, IX XVI, JU-87, and the P-51. You have the option to apply different skins to these planes.
